maXbox

maXbox is an open source graphical software designed as a scripting utility, a programming and educational system with a built-in Delphi engine. It is specially designed for teaching, testing and analyzing both algorithms and methods. It runs well under the Linux/UNIX and Microsoft Windows operating systems, to set Delphi in a machine without installation.

Features at a glance

The application allows users to easily deploy text code or bytecode, offers mobile programming from stick, as well as a big library of exercises and examples, allows you to decompile and debug functions, and includes worldwide tutorials with a comprehensive maXbox getting started guide.

It requires no installation, configuration or administration, mobile programming knowledge is not a requirement when using maXbox, supports a wide range of units, including VCL, PCRE, JEDI, SysTools, CLX, Indy and TurboPower, offers more than 22K functions and 2.6K units, as well as a library of over 500 PEP (Pascal Education Program) exercises and examples.

maXbox comprises of a units explorer, browser, CryptoBox on Board, web server, and the maXbook, maXbase, maXcom, maXtex and maXnet tools. It lets users to debug, re-compile and decompile function.

Under the hood and availability

The program is written entirely in the Object Pascal and Delphi/Kylix programming languages and its target audience are developers who want a flexible tool to teach, test and analyze methods and algorithms.

You can download maXbox right now from Softoware, free of charge. It’s distributed as a universal source archive that can be installed on any supported operating system by configuring and compiling it.

Supported OSes and platforms

maXbox is a cross-platform software that it’s officially supported on all GNU/Linux distributions, some BSD flavors, as well as on the Microsoft Windows operating system. Both 64-bit and 32-bit hardware platforms are supported at this time.
