The concept of Martian Marine Lander is interesting. Gamers play as the alien invaders who want to take over the planet Earth. The twist is that you will use a pure defense strategy to effectively land a transport ship full of Martian marine shock troops in 40 key invasion zone locations. Each level has their own set of challenges. The player will need to defend themselves from various earth weapons including weather conditions and other obstacles that will try to prevent them from landing. Martian Marine Lander has a variety of ship upgrades that are interchangable at any level and three levels of difficulty (from casual to nightmare). The game has taken inspiration from the classic arcade game Lunar Lander.

Invasion zones on wide screen missions can be viewed in more detail by clicking on areas of the screen.
