AthenaSoft0 LayerCraftXT0 is a XTensions software for QuarkXpress0 that is a smart and quick solution for expanding usability when working with layers. Art Directors and Graphic Designers can at an early stage of a project, for example, share a layer to a new document and allow translators to start their work. Later they can import the layer without worrying about how it will be applied to the layout.
Features
Create new QuarkXPress project from visible layers
This feature lets you export all visible layers from the layers palette. Make the layers you want to export visible in the layers palette and invoke the "New Project From Visible Layers" menu from the context menu. A new project with these layers is created which can be saved at any desired location.
Import layer(s) from QuarkXPress projects
This feature lets you import layer(s) from a given project into the current project. The user is prompted to select the layer to import. This feature can be invoked from the "Import layer(s) from Project..." menu from the layers palette context menu. LayerCraftXT is not designed to add or delete pages, hence only elements corresponding to the pages that exist in the target project will be imported.
Conflict in the name of the imported layer may arise during this process. When this happens the user has complete control over the result. The user is prompted for the action to be taken.
Export layer(s) from QuarkXPress projects
This feature lets you export the selected layer from the layers palette. Select the layer you want to export in the layers palette and invoke the "Export Layer..." menu from the context menu. A new project with the selected layer is created which can be saved at any desired location.

Limitations:
The user is allowed to import only the first spread of the selected project.The user is allowed to export only the first spread of the selected layer to a new QuarkXpress project.
