This free land surveying software is designed for use by land surveyors, engineers and archaeologists. Knightwood Area Calculator Free v1.1 calculates an area and perimeter of a polygon defined by entering the coordinates of a series of points on its boundary. Points can be entered as a series of coordinates or as an initial pair of coordinates and then a series of bearings and distances, or a combination of each.
The Quick Bearing tool allows rapid input of 45 degree and 90 degree bearings and is ideal for entering shapes such as floor plans based on 90 degree corners. All other bearings can be entered manually.
Results can be shown in various metric and imperial units, and printed out with a plot of the polygon and a table of its coordinates. Free version doesn't support exporting plot in DXF format.
