Improved functions
- This update improves the reception of DAB tuner.
Preparation:
1. Download the Firmware update file “J11D516_V106.zip” and save it on your desktop.
2. Unzip it on to your desktop. In the unzipped folder, you will see the file “J11D516.rom”.
3. Copy the file onto a USB flash drive. Do not save into any folder.
Update Procedure:
4. Press the "SOURCE" key and select to "DAB" in the unit.
5. Press and hold "MENU" key almost 2 seconds.
6. TURN the "VOL" knob and select to "TUNER". Press the "VOL" knob.
7. Turn the "VOL" knob and select to firmware version. A firmware version will be appeared on the display as shown below. Press and hold the "VOL" knob almost 2 seconds.
8. Insert the USB flash drive into the car-radio’s USB port.
Start updating automatically.
9. It takes almost 20 minutes to update. Do not turn off power during the update.
10. “COMPLETED” message will be displayed when finished.
11. The receiver will be reset automatically. If “COMPLETE” is still displayed even after 1 minute, please perform following steps.
- Press the Release button to detach the faceplate.
- Press the RESET button.
- Attach the Faceplate.
- Refer to the Step 7 to confirm the firmware version.
12. Remove the USB flash drive.
