jQuery simplepicker (or simplePicker) is a jQuery widget that appears in the form of a popup calendar whenever users focus their cursor inside special form fields that require the user to enter a date.
The component lets them easily select the date they wish, instead of having to type it inside the field.
The popup can be styled via CSS-based themes and also provides simple controls for navigating the calendar, selecting the current day as the date, or just ignoring and closing the picker's modal.
Once a date has been selected using the jQuery simplepicker widget, it will automatically be filled inside the form field, in the date format the developer wants to use.
Translating the date picker's interface to other languages is supported, and recommended when used in multi-lingual or localized websites.
jQuery simplepicker comes with a few basic examples to show developers how it can be implemented.
