jQuery Selectric is yet another attempt at providing a better way to customize HTML select tags.
By default, to use custom graphics with a drop-down select list, developers need to use a form masking plugin, that don't always allow full access via CSS and come with a complicated skinning interface.
jQuery Selectric uses jQuery to setup the masking procedure, but leaves all the skinning controls to the classic CSS language.
This way, even developers new to jQuery or JavaScript can add their own CSS rules and still use this complex tool in their projects, helping them customize their select fields so they fit the site's overall design.
Examples and usage instructions are included with the download package.
