jQuery.LocalScroll takes internal anchor links and whenever the user clicks them, slowly animates the content inside a container or the viewport to the position of the anchor link target.
The plugin uses a smooth scrolling effect, working together with the jQuery.ScrollTo plugin to produce this animation.
jQuery.LocalScroll can also optionally modify the page's link with a hash, allowing elements on the page to be deep-linked from remote pages.
Desired links can also be ignored by the plugin, while AJAX support comes out of the box.
A demo is included with the download package.
