jQuery Columns takes data passed to it as JSON collections and displays it using an enriched HTML table also known as a datagrid.
There are additional controls for paging large amounts of information across different views, sorting the data ascending or descending just by clicking the column header, and searching through the data using a special field at the top right of the table.
When searching the table data is not presented in a new page like regular search engines, but in the table itself by hiding all non-matching rows.
jQuery Columns also supports responsive layouts, zebra rows, custom data schemas, and a whole lot of callback functions.
The JSON fed to the plugin can be passed as raw data or imported from local or remote JSON streams.
