Test-Driven Development (or TDD) is a complex process for writing code that relies on cycles. It requires the developer to write code and continuously test it until it passes approval standards.
jMock implements TDD testing habits by using Java mock objects to do so.
Developers can use this framework to write tests and then simulate (mock) environments to run the tests in.
jMock itself also provides an easy way to write mock objects and then decide how these mock objects interact with the test, helping get the most out of your code.
jMock is not a full testing framework, but more of a mocking framework, still needing a third-party testing framework for writing tests. By the way it was currently designed, jMock can work with practically any Java-based testing framework out there.
