Picking bugs out of your source code can be painfully slow, but here?s a tool that might help you prevent infestation. JiveLint applies static analysis to your source code and checks that it follows a set of coding conventions, helping to find and avoid potential bugs. JiveLint will find unused code and variables, switch blocks without a default case, and identify other coding problems. Release 1.2 adds 10 more ""defects"" that it searches for. JiveLint is a command line-based, standalone Windows application, and doesn't require Java to be installed.
Release 1.21 is a maintainance release including a few minor bug fixes.
