Jarte Portable is a free, tabbed word processor based on the Microsoft WordPad word-processing engine built into Windows. There are no ads, no trial period, no nag screens, and no crippling of essential features. Like WordPad, Jarte is fast, easy to use, reliable, requires little screen space, and creates documents perfectly compatible with Word. Feature includes opens files with file extension RTF, file extension DOC, and file extension DOCX, has tabbed interface to provide easy access to open documents, has optional "Clickless Operation" feature greatly reduces clicking, and can be run as a portable word processor directly from a USB flash drive, CD, or DropBox folder.
