Inkwell

Inkwell is a collection of RoR methods that allows developers to easily and quickly deploy a social interaction system for an application's userbase.

Support is included for user comments, re-blogging features, favoriting items, and following other people for updates.

Inkwell is basically a tool that can help you create a Twitter and Tumblr-like timeline for your user profiles, helping your userbase interconnect, find friends and discover new content.

There are many other usage scenarios outside the realm of social networking where Inkwell can be used, like for enriching a blog's commenting system, for letting people select favorites inside portfolios and image galleries, and so on.

The main requirement for this library to work is to have a userbase that can interact within, and a content type to "like", "share", and "re-blog".
