Import Wizard includes Add-Ins for Access and Excel and a standalone program. Import Wizard imports various data files such as: csv (delimited) and fixed width files, non-standard text files, report spool files from a mainframe systems, HTML and Excel files. The software goes beyond the standard text import functionality by allowing imports with multiple lines per record and the importing of headers and footers. The imported information can be manipulated as a table in the database into which it was imported. You can import many files or whole directories in a single go, use filters to select the data you want to import, update existing tables with imported data. You can split individual fields into separate fields subfields (such as last name, first name or city, state), and many other data processing functions are available.
