Homebrew Low-Rights IE incorporates a new technology dubbed Low-Rights IE to prevent software from being installed. Low-Rights IE is designed to remove Administrator privileges from Internet Explorer while you are logged in with Administrator privileges. Homebrew Low-Rights IE is a reverse-engineered version of the upcoming IE7 functionality that can be used with operating systems besides Longhorn on other versions of Internet Explorer besides version 7. Homebrew Low-Rights IE is a simple NT command script that will create a user account exclusively for Internet Explorer, give it Guest permissions (the most restrictive on an NT machine by default), and place an icon on the desktop that can be used to launch IE in low-rights mode. Due to the fact that it is only a link file and a simple script, it is extremely small: only 2kb in size.
