The Heat Map plugin was created to help plot out and visualize statistical information rooted in real-life geographical data.
The plugin is great for showing maps with statistical data on top, maps like "salary per capita/city" or "average income per state".
As long as the geographical data can be queried and locations retrieved via the Google Maps API, any type of heatmap can be displayed and any type of statistical data be shown on top.
A self-explanatory demo is included with the download package, to show developers how it can be implemented.
