HackAlarm is a cutting edge piece of software that exists solely to let you know if there are any outgoing transmissions of data from your personal computer while you are not using it. We basically wait for the machine to go idle then "watch" for data leaving your machine. If we detect any, we record the time, the destination and try to display as much information as is publicly available to you so you can make a decision of what action you would like to take next. HackAlarm will send you emails to alert you that data has left your machine while you were away. HackAlarm does NOT currently have the capability to rid your machine of any harmful software. We are not an anti-virus/anti-malware/anti-worm piece of technology. Our focus is on alerting our users when data is leaving their computers.
