Goliath was created to provide a more simpler admin panel if you use WordPress only for blogging.
Using Goliath will increase your admin panel's speed by only loading the parts and features you need to publish your blog's articles.
Goliath does not work on the original WP backend, but uses its own codebase entirely. This makes it not only faster but also safer to use since you don't mess around with WordPress' original codebase.
This also means the original WordPress backend is also left intact, so you can easily switch back to it whenever you need to do other things than write blog posts, like adding static pages, updating the WP core, installing plugins, approving comments, and so on.
