GoAnywhere Director

GoAnywhere is a centralized solution which automates data retrieval, translation, compression, encryption and distribution for the enterprise. With GoAnywhere's intuitive user interface and comprehensive functionality, you can easily streamline and secure the exchange of data with your customers, trading partners and internal servers. GoAnywhere will dramatically reduce the need for custom programming and single-function tools which were traditionally required for processing data.

What is new in this release:

• Enhanced the SFTP Task and Resource to allow configuration of the Authentication, Cipher, MAC and Compression algorithms that are used by the connection.
• Enhanced the Execute Native Command task to close its standard in and standard out streams immediately after execution, instead of waiting for the JRE's garbage collector to close the streams. This should help prevent the reported error message of "Too Many Open Files" when the open file limit for the process is not set high enough on Linux/Unix based operating systems.
• Fixed an issue with the File Chooser that was failing to work when the selected file or folder name contained an apostrophe.
• Fixed an issue with the SFTP task that was failing to create sub directories when uploading a recursive FileSet to some SFTP servers. This issue was introduced in version 4.3.0.

What is new in version 4.0:

• This version includes enhanced job controls, custom add-ons, holiday calendars for scheduling, and even more advanced functions to improve usability and flexibility.

What is new in version 3.51:

• This version enhances the FTP, FTPS, SFTP, and SCP resources/tasks to support connections through a proxy server.
• The supported proxy types include SOCKS (version 4 and 5), and HTTP Proxy (aka HTTP Tunneling).
• It adds a new option in FTP and FTPS resources/tasks for parsing the directory listing returned by IBM 4690 FTP servers.

What is new in version 3.50:

• Message Queues - Connects to enterprise message queue (MQ) services including Websphere MQ (MQ Series), SonicMQ and ActiveMQ using the JMS standard. Both MQ Topics and Queues are supported for exchanging data between customer applications and GoAnywhere Director using this fault-tolerant communication model.
• Network Shares - Provides access to files and folders on almost any system within a customer's network including Windows servers, Linux/Unix servers and IBM i (iSeries) file systems using the SMB/CIFS protocol. GoAnywhere Director can be used to manage, encrypt and securely transfer files from/to these Network Shares through scheduled and automated work flows.
• File Monitors - Includes new wizards to set up monitors that can scan for new, modified and/or deleted files in targeted folders, which can then execute predefined workflows to process the files.
• Auto-Resume - Automatically reconnects and resumes file transfers when server connections break for FTP, FTPS and SFTP protocols. This feature is critical in helping to guarantee delivery.
• File Locking - Allows locks to be obtained on data files on read and write operations, which is important for ensuring the integrity of files and eliminating conflicts between applications.
• Command Shortcuts - Provides new IBM i (iSeries) command shortcuts to popular functions including SFTP gets/puts, Open PGP encryption/decryption, ZIP and UNZIP.
• High Availability (HA) - Allows GoAnywhere Director configurations and logging data to be stored in customer database systems including SQL Server, MySQL and DB2 for IBM i. This allows customers to manage and replicate this data using in-house database and HA tools.

What is new in version 3.0:

• GoAnywhere Director Version 3.0 is now available from Linoma Software. GoAnywhere Director is an Enterprise solution for Managed File Transfers, which includes a full suite of processes to securely transfer and convert data with detailed auditing and message alerts. Using GoAnywhere Director, customers can connect to almost any system or trading partner using a wide variety of standard protocols including FTP, SFTP (SSH), SCP, FTPS (SSL/TLS), HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, POP3 and IMAP. It also supports standard Open PGP and ZIP with AES encryption for securing sensitive documents.
• This latest version incorporates S/MIME digital signatures and encryption for email, support for Secure Copy Protocol (SCP), automatic processing of inbound email, enhanced logging, and version controls to streamline customer upgrades. Excel 2007 translation is also supported in version 3.0, in addition to its ability to read and write Excel 2003, CSV, XML and fixed-width text documents - which eliminates the need for other file translation software.
• Version 3.0 also introduces more business process controls, including support for multi-part conditional statements, loops, delay operations, complex variables and advanced error-handling logic. This allows customers to set up sophisticated projects in GoAnywhere Director for multi-step processing of files, eliminating manual intervention and custom programming/scripts. For instance, a single project could be defined to loop/scan and retrieve files from a FTP server, decrypt those files, then parse and import their contents into a database. Errors can be easily monitored and routed to send alerts or call other processes.

This allows customers to easily extract data from their corporate databases to securely share it with their trading partners, as well as the ability to pump incoming data into their tables automatically.
• No programming or special technical skills are required to use GoAnywhere Director. A graphical interface is provided for remote administration and monitoring from any browser or internet-enabled phone. Projects in GoAnywhere Director can be launched from a variety of 3rd party applications, schedulers and languages including CL, RPG, Java, C, .NET and PHP.
• GoAnywhere Director can be installed to a variety of platforms, including IBM System i, IBM System p (AIX), IBM System z (Mainframe), Windows, Linux, SUSE Enterprise Linux, UNIX, HP-UX, Mac OS and Solaris platforms.
