If you share your computer with others, or even if it is only occasionally accessed by other users, there are certain files and folders that you will likely want to keep private. However, there is no easy way to do this without relying on a third-party utility.

Folder Spark is a fairly basic but easy-to-use application that enables you to lock folders and encrypt files in order to prevent unauthorized access and share content safely. It comes with a basic set of features and a simplistic UI.

Install it or run it as a portable application You will notice that two versions of the program are available for download - one is installer-based while the other doesn't need to be set up and can be launched from any location on your PC. There are no differences between the installer and portable version, other than the fact that the latter will not store any data on your hard drive and can be used even from portable storage devices.
