Eeeger is a zany, humorous 2D shooter similar to Galaga, Robotron and Geometry Wars. Take control of Eeeger as he eviscerates a never-ending army of unstable aliens. There are 9 different game modes, a medal system, and a totally gratuitous meter that keeps track of all the body parts onscreen! Do you have the guts to play this? (yes, that was a pun)
The game's roots extend back in the mid-1980's during the arcade craze. It was resurrected in 2009 as a 2D shooter incorporating a mouse-and-keyboard setup similar to first person shooters like Doom. Despite the sideways 2D viewpoint, the decision to incorporate a mouse allows the player to aim in 360 degrees and have two buttons at his disposal for attacks. Eeeger can also jump, use a shield, call down a vertical wall of thunder, and fire lightning bolts in a 180-degree fan.
If you're an old school gamer who can appreciate hand-drawn animation, fast gameplay, high scores and medals, and games that last in short bursts similar to the quarter-eaters in arcades in the 80's, this is for you. A juvenile sense of humor helps.
