EASIS Drive Check is a tool to check the health of your hard drives or other storage devices like flash drives, USB sticks, and external hard drives. EASIS Drive Check includes two tests to diagnostic hard drives or media failures in advantage of the disaster and the need of data recovery. First you can read out the S.M.A.R.T. values of internal ATA or IDE hard disk drives and interpret their values. EASIS Drive Check read out over 40 values to help on decisions as your drive should be change. Often you can decide to change the drive only by reading the S.M.A.R.T. values. But interpreting S.M.A.R.T. values can be only a hint to decide about the drive status because the values are only snapshots and not complete tests of the drive. Also, interpretations are difficult because different vendors offer different attributes to read out.
