DropFile.php is a nifty little tool that you can easily deploy to your server with little setup and immediately add a file uploading interface to your server, application or website.
The upload widget was developed around the new drag & drop upload feature added thanks to HTML 5 and should work on all modern browsers.
When uploading a file, on the server side DropFile.php will create a folder structure of "/year/month/" and drop the users' files in it.
Support is additionally included for adding a random number-based suffix to all the files, method used to avoid files with the same names.
As a security recommendation, make sure to only allow authenticated users to the DropFile.php interface, since hackers might use it to upload unwanted scripts and malware to your site and break their way into your server.
