Doc Viewer

The document viewer was developed and is currently being used by The New York Times.

Document Viewer requires (already included in the download package) and uses jQuery, jQuery UI, Underscore.js, Jammit and the jQuery.ScrollTo plugin.

It has two parts.

The frontend branch is home to all of the HTML, CSS, and Javascript you’ll need to get a static viewer up and running.

The rails branch (TK) contains a Rails-based admin which can be used to create, manage, and serve viewers.

Features:

• An embeddable version for blogs and inside articles.
• A search-friendly version for browsers/bots without JavaScript.
• Variable image file type control.
• Allowing irregular annotation shapes.

Requirements:

• JavaScript enabled on client side
