disallowed.js provides a client-side alternative to all those bulky serverr-side text cleaning systems.
Instead of sanitizing text on the server before sending it to the user, this JavaScript library goes to the root of the problem: when it's actually written in the first place.
The library works by watching a form field and using a JSON file, scans and compares the user's input to a list of predefined curse words.
If a bad word is detected, the library takes action and clears the user's form field immediately.
The bad words JSON database is included with the disallowed.js library, so you can expand it with more words or translate it to your own language.
A demo is also provided with the download package.
Requirements:
- JavaScript enabled on client side
