Designer News is a news aggregating site in the style of HackerNews, only focused on stories and articles revolving around the design, UI & UX world.
The Designer News PHP API library allows PHP programmers to query LayerVault's servers and fetch a wide range of information from them.
They can then take this data and build mobile or Web-based apps revolving around this site and its community.
The library can fetch:
- information about your own account
- details about a story
- a list of Top stories
- a list of New stories
- search results for a desired term
- a specific comment
- the current MOTD
The library can also be used to perform various actions like:
- can upvote a story
- can comment on a story
- upvote a comment
- reply to a comment
- upvote the MTOD
- downvote the MTOD

Requirements:
- PHP 5.2 or higher
- Designer News API credentials
