CSS3 Fancy Box

CSS3 Fancy Box can be used to show images or text content inside a modal popup window that floats above the page.

The script can also be used to create classic image sliders, with a list of thumbnails underneath the big image, from which the user can choose what to view next.

Creating one of these two UI components only requires the user to add specific CSS classes to his HTML code, a relatively easy task compared to JS-powered alternatives.

The entire codebase is well organized, modular, and various features can easily be customized or removed altogether.

Demos are included with the download package.
