Chaffle

Chaffle can be used as a smooth, non-intrusive hover effect for text-based links.

When hovering the mouse over a text, the plugin will replace the original letters with new (random) characters and start to shuffle them with other new characters for a small period of time.

After this period the text is returned to its original, readable state.

Chaffle works with any type of character set, not only the classic Latin alphabet.

The plugin comes with a basic example to show developers how it can be implemented.
