Cassandra Client

This is only an alpha release and does not yet support the full Thrift API or all the CassandraDB releases.

Features:

• Clean encapsulation of the Thrift API
• Pluggable serialization and compression
• Rubinius support

What is new in this release:

• Added new composite API to resolve ambiguity between unpacking a composite and packing a composite with one element.
• Breaking change: schema change methods no longer catch exceptions internally. They work the same as everything else.

What is new in version 0.4:

• Use new comparator API.
• Namespace Thrift bindings;
• Rename gem and class to Cassandra.
• Make tokens and limits actually work.
• Retry UnavailableExceptions.
