Captain Favicon adds a page in the WP backend where admins can upload their own favicon and use it with their WordPress installation.
The plugin comes with support for Retina devices as well.
The favicon can be uploaded from the webmasters computer, or it can be selected from one of the existing images in the WP Media Library.
Installation:
Unpack and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
