Bitnami Spree Module

Bitnami Spree Module is a free and multiplatform software, a module that can be used to drop the Spree e-commerce application on top of a running and healthy Bitnami LAMP installation. The Bitnami Spree Module native installers were packaged using BitRock's cross-platform installer tool.

What is Spree?

Spree is an open source, free, powerful and flexible e-commerce platform for the Ruby enterprise. With Spree you can automate the order and fulfillment process. It is used by over 50,000 businesses around the world, can be easily customized and offers a powerful plugin architecture, as well as a documented API.

Installing Bitnami Spree Module

To install the Bitnami Spree Module on top of your Bitnami LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) server, you only have to download the package that corresponds to your computer’s hardware architecture, run it and follow the instructions provided on the screen.

Run Spree on the cloud or virtualize it

Thanks to Bitnami, users are now able to run their own Spree server on the cloud with their hosting platform or by using a pre-built image for either Windows Azure or Amazon EC2 cloud hosting providers. In addition, you can virtualize Spree by using Bitnami’s Ubuntu-based virtual machine images for the Oracle VirtualBox and VMware ESX/ESXi virtualization software.

Besides the Bitnami Spree Module product reviewed here, Bitnami also offers an all-in-one installer for the Spree e-commerce software, which greatly simplifies the deployment of the Spree application and all of its runtime dependencies on personal computers. Spree Docker container
