Bitnami Gallery Module

Bitnami Gallery Module is a free and multiplatform software project that aims to allow users to deploy the Gallery application on top of existing Bitnami LAMP Stack, Bitnami WAMP Stack and Bitnami MAMP Stack products. It automates the setup of a Bitnami application stack on Linux, Windows or Mac OS X.

What is Gallery?

Gallery is a freely distributed, platform-independent, open source and slick web-based application designed from the ground up to act as a photo album or image gallery software, which includes a configuration wizard for easy installment, as well as numerous attractive features.

Installing Bitnami Gallery Module

The Bitnami Gallery Module product is distributed as native installers for GNU/Linux, Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X operating systems, built using BitRock’s cross-platform installer tool. To install Gallery on top of your Bitnami LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) stack, download the package that corresponds to your PC’s hardware architecture (32-bit or 64-bit), run it and follow the on-screen instructions.

Run Gallery in the cloud or virtualize it

Thanks to Bitnami, users will be able to run Gallery in the cloud with their hosting platform or by using a pre-built cloud image designed for either of the Windows Azure and Amazon EC2 cloud hosting providers. In addition, Bitnami offers a virtual appliance for the Oracle VirtualBox and VMware ESX/ESXi virtualization software, based on the latest version of Ubuntu Linux.

The Gallery Docker container and stack

In addition to all of the above, Bitnami also offers a Gallery Docker container and an all-in-one solution that greatly simplifies the installation and hosting of the Gallery application, as well as of its runtime dependencies, on personal computers running a mainstream operating systems like Linux, Mac or Windows. The Bitnami Gallery Stack product is available for download on Softoware, free of charge.
