Australian Weather Radar is gadget that will show on your desktop the Weather Radar for a selected location in Australia. Links to publicly available images published by the Australian Bureau of Meteorology. Update frequency, radar location and position of image can all be customized. Hovering the mouse over the gadget when docked will animate the last 10 images.
