Arc-live Linux is freely available for download and use from Softoware. It is distributed as a dual-arch Live DVD ISO image of approximately 1GB in size, designed to support both 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x86_64) hardware platforms.The boot menu is very complex
When booting the ISO image from the BIOS of a computer, using either a DVD disc or a USB thumb drive, the user will see a boot menu that includes advanced options, such as the ability to run the live system with normal drivers or in safe graphics mode.It is also possible to start the installer directly and install the Arc-live Linux operating system on a local drive. There are various installer options on the boot menu, including text-mode and graphical ones. It is also possible to run a memory test.
KDE Plasma is the default graphical desktop environment
The default graphical desktop environment of Arc-live Linux is KDE Plasma, which provides a modern, productive and familiar user interface. In addition, it also includes the KDE with Openbox, GNOME with Openbox, LXDE and Openbox desktop sessions.Keep in mind though, that you must use the “linux” password (without quotes) with the predefined arc-live username in order to access any of the aforementioned sessions.
