ApplePie is not yet ready to replace Bootstrap or Foundation, but it's still very usable when working on smaller projects.
While the aforementioned tools focus more on providing a set of usable UI components, ApplePie's approach is on providing a basis on which the developer can easily code his own component at any point later on.
There's big focus on the way ApplePie has been organized and structured, and its developers have made a point out of code modularity, naming rules, and organization.
This approach makes the code easier to read and re-use later on without having to recode the same rules and structures for any project quirks.
Besides the ApplePie SASS source there's a CSS version as well, just in case you're not familiar with the SASS compiler.
