Apache Blur

Apache Blur was designed for large text-based search queries, against a high volume of target data.

Blur was designed to work with Hadoop, and can achieve Google-like indexing and query speeds.

Other Apache technologies used with Blur are Lucene, Thrift and ZooKeeper.

• Adjusts to fit the size of your data
• Survives multi-node failure w/o data loss

What is new in this release:

• Support for GIS data types.
• Created Index Snapshots.
• Added Stored field type.
• Added ability to have startup scripts wait for safemode exit.
• Created request and response log files.

Limitations:

• The project is still under development in the Apache Incubator repository and might change drastically from version to version.
