Apache ACE is a powerful framework that can be used in building centralized hubs where programmers can host their software, components, artifacts and other files and easily distribute them to their clients and client applications.
Built on an OSGi modular architecture, ACE can be used for deploying and updating components, applications and software from your own custom central server.
ACE not only provides the tools to create the central server hub, but also the client (target) modules as well.
Outside the delivery and update system, ACE also includes a dependency management component, and a feedback mechanism for gathering and logging errors or successful operations.
On top of this, thanks to ACE's great configuration models, components can also be grouped together and assigned to a custom set of clients, allowing for both batch and filtered update/deployment operations.
