Amazon MP3 Downloader allows you to download music albums from the Amazon MP3 website. It is required for album purchases, and makes downloading songs fast and easy. It takes just a few clicks and less than 30 seconds to install. Click the appropriate Download button on the left, download the file for your distribution of Linux and follow the on-screen instructions, or read the detailed installation instructions below.

Installation instructions:

NOTES:

* The package managers on the respective distributions should automatically fetch and install all necessary dependencies. After installation you must manually run the client to enable it in your default browser.
* The application is installed as /usr/bin/amazonmp3 and may be launched from that location. An icon is also automatically added to the "Applications" menu in the "Internet" submenu.
* The Fedora and OpenSUSE packages are signed with this public key. To import this key into your rpm database use the following command: sudo rpm --import amazonmp3.pubkey.

Ubuntu 7.10 "gutsy"

1. Download this amazonmp3.deb file.
2. Double click the package; The "Package Installer" UI should open.
3. Click the "Install Package" button in the upper right corner.
4. Launch the Amazon MP3 Downloader to complete the installation process.

Debian 4 "etch"

1. Download this amazonmp3.deb file.
2. Right click the file and select 'Open with "GDebi Package Intsaller"'.
3. Click the "Install Package" button in the upper right corner.
4. Launch the Amazon MP3 Downloader to complete the installation process.

Fedora 8

1. Download this amazonmp3.rpm file.
2. Double click the package. The "Installing Package" dialog should appear, and "Amazon MP3 Downloader" should be in the list.
3. Click the "Apply" button.
4. If you didn't import amazonmp3.pubkey into your rpm database, the installer will warn you the package's signature cannot be verified. Click "Install Anyway."
5. Launch the Amazon MP3 Downloader to complete the installation process.

OpenSUSE 10.3

1. Download this amazonmp3.rpm file.
2. Right click the file and select 'Open with "Install Software"'.
3. Follow the instructions. The "Install Software" wizard will disappear without further indication upon completion.
4. Launch the Amazon MP3 Downloader to complete the installation process.

You can change the way the Amazon MP3 Downloader works by launching the application: go to Amazon MP3 Downloader > Preferences.

Uninstall Instructions:

Ubuntu and Debian

sudo apt-get remove amazonmp3 --purge

Fedora and OpenSUSE

sudo rpm -e amazonmp3

To clear your settings, delete your ~/.amazonmp3 directory.
