Absolute Delete is a privacy tool to securely delete your traces left while surfing: cookies, cache and history. It can also delete your deleted items, temporary files, recent documents and your search history. When you delete a file, the link to the file is removed on your computer but the actual data is still available and can be recovered. Absolute Delete removes the data permanently deleted from your systems by using different erasing methods (US Departement of Defense, Peter Gutmann or your own). This prevents users from using data recovery tools to recover your files: they are overwritten and you can even ask Absolute Delete to change the name of the files. Version 2.1 may have unspecifies features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
