A Ruler for Windows is a free on-screen pixel ruler and reading guide for your PC. It provides you your choice of a woodgrain, stainless steel, clear see-through plastic, or yellow construction ruler or reading guide - plus you can design and share your own custom skins too. With A Ruler for Windows you can use your screen normally while layering one or more rulers over of your work. As you can see through the clear plastic ruler you can even continue your typing under it. Special 2x, 3x, and 4x modes allow you to take a snapshot of your whole screen and magnify it so you can measure between very fine points more easily. The ruler can be flipped horizontally or vertically, re-sized to an exact length or re-sized by dragging it to a desired length. The program can also be used as a reading guide, especially useful for helping you read through wide documents / spreadsheets with small fonts.
