Tweetie retrieves tweets based on a person's API key and with the help of a PHP file to make the HTTP requests.
Once the Twitter API has responded, the tweet(s) is retrieved in JSON format, which the jQuery plugin analyzes and breaks into containing parts.
Using a simple JS & HTML template, this information is then embedded on the site.
The tweets can be embedded anywhere on the page and can even be rotated in a carousel-like manner.
A demo Tweetie Twitter Web client is included with the download package, to help developers get started on their own versions and get familiarized with the templated output.
