In the normal mode you can play in the surival mode, that means suriving in the 2D land with biomes. You can cut down some tree. Make wood and stone a table in which you can make stone pickaxes, axes, shovels. But the stone stuff is primeval and you need the stove in which you want to move to the future you can cast the heads of the iron tools. You will become a miner, lumberjack, builder and farmer for a while. Maybe you will discover the power of power tools. In the end, you will probably build a rocket and fly into space on various planets and theirs months where you might make space bases. It exist creative mode for starters or for builders.
