Grim Fandango is a comedy adventure game for Windows, primarily written by Tim Schafer. It was LucasArts' first adventure foray into 3D computer graphics. As in other LucasArts adventures, the player talks to other characters and discovers objects to use correctly to solve puzzles in order to advance the story.
In Grim Fandango, players assume the role of Manuel "Manny" Calavera, a travel agent at the Department of Death whose infatuation with Mercedes "Meche" Colomar leads him to discover an internal corruption scandal that threatens to blow the entire Department away. Under fatal attack from crime bosses Don and Domino, Manny must travel to the Edge of the World and back to save Meche and finally catch the Number Nine train for the four-minute trip to the Ninth Underworld.
The full demo for Grim Fandango lets users play a fair portion from the first year of the gameplay.
