SharpCam is a full-featured standalone CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing) system used to create NC code for CNC machine tools. Features integrated CAD creation tools with powerful context snapping. Toolpath creation by pocketing, profiling and drilling, with on the fly NC code generation. Create and edit post processors with the Machine Developer that uses Visual Basic .Net. Imports DXF/DWG file format and exports DXF files. Create text from fonts installed on the PC and SharpCam single line fonts.
What is new in this release:
Version 1.1.6 includes the following enhancements:
- Sub Routines: Profiling, Pocketing and Drilling operations now support Sub Routines for reduced program size when performing multiple passes.
- Perpendicular Entry/Exit: Profiling now supports the ability to have the entry/exit line perpendicular to the entry/exit arc, as opposed to always being tangential.
- Control CRC: New 'Control' option added to the 'Cutter Radius Comp' drop down box when Profiling. This allows the blue print dimensions to be output, therefore using the machine control to perform the compensation.
- New command added: 'Polygon' to the Draw menu and toolbar. Creates polygons with the given number of sides. Used to create hexagons etc.
- New command added: 'Bolt Hole Circle' to the Draw menu and toolbar. Creates circles on a Pitch Circle Diameter.
- MRU list: The file menu now has a Most Recently Used file list.
- Fixed - Cycle time and simulation speed error when using Rigid Tapping.
