Socket.IO

It is a server client, a basically simple HTTP Socket interface implementation.

Socket.IO aims to make realtime apps possible in every browser and mobile device, blurring the differences between the different transport mechanisms.

Packages for stand-alone implementation, as well as Node.JS, are provided in the downloads section.
