The Remote-List plugin takes a different approach to showing dropdown suggestion lists.
Instead of using JavaScript arrays and hidden HTML lists in the page's code, Remote-List uses JSON data files and a HTML5 datalist element for creating the typeahead behavior for desired input fields.
The plugin itself comes with lots of configurable parameters, an intuitive API, AJAX support, and a powerful built-in caching system to load the JSON data files.
Remote-List comes with a few basic examples to show developers how it can be implemented.
In case you're using it in older browsers, the plugin is also compatible with the Webshims library, so you can use it without any rendering problems.
