Ahoy Email was developed on top of Ahoy, a powerful Ruby event tracking system for building analytics and Web statistics services.
The library works similarly to Ahoy, only it's focused on specific events and actions that occur inside emails.
Ahoy Email can track a history or emails send to each user individually, the number of times each email has been opened, and even where the user has clicked inside the email.
Support is included for adding UTM tracking codes to each link inside the email, easily tracking email campaigns across different platforms.
Once events tracked, just like with Ahoy, you can send them for storage or for processing to any data store you want.
