In 2013, Scut AntiVirus OnDemand virus scanner is our free tool for you and now is celebrating 5 years of activity. Please feel free to use these new version as you like. Our principle is that the design is less important and the functionality is everything.
It should be noted that in this version we introduced fewer virus/trojan/backdoor/rootkit signatures in addition to those from 2009. To conclude on this matter, the heuristic scanner will be the most important module for malware detection (at least in this version).
The current version of the scanner incorporates the following modules: AntiVirus, AntiWorm, AntiTrojan, AntiRootkit, AntiSpyware, AntiKeylog, AntiRA, AntiCrimeware, AntiPhising.
In the past (2009-2011) some users have complained that the scanner is limited to ten days, now, this limitation does not exist. Also, we would enjoy some positive feedback for this project because it would help us to make a better antivirus engine. Other mentions: The complete proactive Scut Antivirus variant was never public since 2008. After almost 5 years from the start of Scut AntiVirus project, we try to resume our project in 2013. We noticed over the last five years, that the informations provided by us in the Viral Encyclopedia area of Scut AntiVirus were highly accessed and appreciated by those interested in malware information.
