MyAKA.com is a product that allows someone to signup for a second mobile number which will route to their existing phone. Although correspondence is routed to the existing mobile phone, the real mobile phone number is never disclosed and is always protected behind the MyAKA number. This number will be assigned in the same area code as the users real number and so when they give their MyAKA number out, it looks and functions just like a real number. The idea behind this product is protecting ones true information from those they have just met, online shopping or keeping groups of contacts separate, such as using MyAKA for all business contacts, allowing one to keep their real mobile number for established personal contacts.
