Streama was created for people that cannot afford to hire a huge team of programmers.
This open source script allows them to host their own Netflix-like of service, on their own servers, without too many headaches.
Streama supports most of Netflix's features, like user accounts, an HTML5 video player that remembers where you left off, the ability to watch multiple shows at the same time, and a playlist queue.
Additionally, an administration panel is included for the webmasters, where they can go and add new content with just a few clicks.
For technical geeks, Streama was coded in Groovy, stores its content in a MySQL database, and the frontend was built using AngularJS.
